Public relations is a very infuencial practice in any market related industries and in this sence we look at the fundamental aspects of Public relations and how they have infuenced the growth of the South African car market. The South African car industry had problems in the year 2009, which the problem was a huge decline in sold cars by some of South Africas biggest car manufactures like VW and Mercedes benz but that problem has becomed what South African car manufactures can call a bad dream because of the recent growth in the year 2010 which saw the South African car industry selling $ 1.8 billion cars to the US, putting South Africa ahead of Sweden and Italy who are the main suppliers to the US market.
The question here is are the public relations practitioners finally getting the job done? the one thing that one has to know is the fundamental practices of public relations that play a very vital role and in this case the estabishment of new relationships with customers and the infuence that PR has in the changing of perceptions of their stakeholders or customers which has worked mericles such as the 30% growth projected and VW 34.3% growth with over 67 023 uints sold in the december period in 2010 and Mercides benz giagentic growth of 117% compared to the 3.6% in 2009.

it is good that our motoring organization are making all of profit, but since 2002 vw has not be doing any csi project that makes ask myself if really is pr is actually influencial to these organisation or let alone important
ReplyDeleteOne thing we should take into consideration is that car sales is also controlled by the economy, if the economy experience a down-swing affects car manufacturers and buyers and that is what happened the previous years
ReplyDeleteclive one thing you should know is that you cant have a CSI project running if you yourself as an organisation are not making enough because CSI projects are largely dependent on how financially stable are you as an organisation.
ReplyDeletethembanator yes i agree with the point you are raising but it was not different last year because we find that many people still remain jobless but the select few who are earning a decent living can manage to raise the numbers of cars being bought in 2011,so i think that with our economy slowly recovering we should expect more greater things from the motor industry.
