People often ask themselves the question of who buys those fancy cars that Saps members patrol and use for everyday crime? well the answer is very much simple. The cars that are being drived by our so called heroes of humanity comes from car manufacturing companies that always put their public relations elements into practise such as sponsorships.Ford motor company of South Africa has handed over more than 200 new Ford Territory cars to the Gauteng Police Department. At hand-over ceremony the Gauteng Police Department took ownership of 250 new cars. It is fantastic to see not only Ford coming to the party but also Vw South Africa has shown that sponsorship is important to an organisations success and in this case our policeman and woman are really driving in style thanks to companies like Ford and Volkswagen South Africa. To upcoming public Relations practitioner it is very important to use every important element of Public Relations in your organisation because in my opinion it shows the competence and professionalism that the industry of public relations has and also not forgeting that all this will help your brand become widely recognised and respected.
Yeah it is great to see that more motor companies and big names are joining in to make the SAPS look amazing. The cars are doing their jobs when will the cops do theirs.
ReplyDeleteja ne michelle I do agree with you that its now all in the hands of the SAPS to deliver.
DeleteReally fancy and expensive cars the police use...but Ithink that's good because then atleast them sponsoring the SAPS with such cars that are big brands in South Africa.
ReplyDeleteI didn’t know that the fancy cars our police officers are driving are sponsored cars. I thought that the government buy those cars.
ReplyDeletedineo not every car you see being drived a police officer is purchased some of them are impounded cars with no owners and yes some are bought but others are sponsorships.
DeleteI also agree with Dineo,i though the cars are bought by the government. i have to say its very clever of those car companies to sponsor the SAPS because they know their cars will be well known and respected since their driven by respected people in the society which are the police.
ReplyDeleteNo! no! no! i also dont think this are sponsored cars, imaging the money that could be spend on these cars. And the manufacturers on the other hand must pay tax. Maybe they purchased them with reasonable discount.
ReplyDeletedude where have you been these past years because companies make it a frequent thing to sponsor Saps with anything raging from new technology gadgets to your GPS systems.
